Winter Ball 2018
The IE Winter Ball took place in the Casino de Madrid on Saturday, February 10th. This years theme was "Night Under The Stars." Although the winter ball is aimed at students in the masters programs, many people from the bachelors programs also attended, in addition to IE faculty and staff.
The night began with a welcome speech by Martin Boehm, the Dean of IE Business School. It continued with the IE Star Awards followed by a cocktail and live music from an electric violinist. Star VIP Guests included Martin Boehm, the Dean of IE Business School, and Martha Thorne, the Dean of IE Architecture & Design School. Representatives from many institutions including Google, Tesla, Uría Menéndez, and the US Embassy also attended.
There was a raffle included in the event and the winners were announced in the middle of the night. The first prize of this raffle was a one-on-one breakfast with Santiago Íñiguez, the Executive President of the IE University. Other prizes included an intensive workout program at Retro 48 and dinners at top restaurants in Madrid.
The evening was wrapped by a few hours of a DJ and open bar. Look out for the Spring Ball that is coming up in April!
