OPENING REMARKS
Hi there,
Since its foundation in 2008, IE University pursued a unique vision – to establish an educational platform for students across the globe to acquire a diverse understanding of the world that surrounds them. Through its encompassing motto “Unus Mundus Mentes Diversae” (One World, Diverse Minds), the university bridges students, keen to push humanity’s boundaries through knowledge, value and innovation.
Today, I, Volodymyr Lakomov, proudly present to you the Stork, a project founded to create a platform for IEU’s voices to deliver compelling stories that would inform, inspire, and entertain the IE Community as well as help IE’s mission in bridging its community.
The Stork establishes a place where our community can come together and share its thoughts, ideas and passions. It is a mechanism for the improvement of our experience through information and greater student involvement.
The project aims high. Our vision aspires to create a platform for IEU’s voices to be heard on the international arena and to be recognized as a source of leading and influential academic opinion.
The ambition may sound far-fetched, however we are determined to achieve it. Just like the bird, the Stork will glide above the Community, mindfully observing everything below itself.
Who are we?
We are a group of students from all degrees in IE, who decided to group up together and create something truly special for the community. At the Stork, we believe that each member has enormous creative potential. And with every member’s talent, we aim to complement each other to perfect the Stork’s internal processes. Simply put, we are a family that enjoys producing every element with obstinate perfectionism.
How does it work?
The Stork is the official IE University Student Newspaper that works as a bi-weekly platform, and is structured in a distinct way. Information is divided into four categories: News, Sports, Lifestyle and Opinion. In each section, the reader can explore stories intended to be informative, entertaining, and a thoughtful comprehension of the surrounding environment. Each section is also divided into subsections, which cover particular themes. Feel free to explore these features!

Did you find an error in a story?
We aim to publish each story flawlessly. Also, we take serious accountability and responsibility for any errors we produce. If you encounter a mistake in the text, omission of a source, or a misreport, then do not hesitate to drop a message through our communication channels. We will immediately correct it.
Feedback
To make your experience of the Stork impeccable, we will conduct every three issues a survey, designed to improve the platform. As mentioned before, we aim high, and with your help, the sky will not be the final limit!
