If words could paint a picture
If words could paint a picture.
If words could paint a picture, the portrait of love would be you.
I swear they all see your reflection in their lover’s fiery eyes.
I wish I could dive in the flames of your existence,
And dance to the rhythm of the flicker of your scorching persistence,
The after taste you leave at the tip of my tongue as your lips whistle against mine,
And whisper sweet everythings in my breath.
I wish I could capture your scent in the palm of my hands,
And slow dance with it to Sade on every night that my soul pines for your presence.
“This is no ordinary love.”
Just a moment in your tight hug could feel like a life time.
My chest against your chest,
I swear no music ever sounded sweeter,
Than the upbeat melody of our fast paced hearts racing towards each other,
Then at a crescendo we crash and a new note is born.
If our hearts could compose a song,
That song would be about our love.
I swear they only hear you as they listen to their lover’s angelic voice.
I wish I could soar into the heaven of your soul,
And take refuge under the star lit sky of your compassion,
The shelter you for built me,
Illuminated by the constellations and galaxies held in your smile and simple “hello’s.”
I wish I could ignite my soul just so that it shines as bright as yours,
So that I too, with the warmth of my flames can make our house a home.
