IEU Event: Startup Grind
On Wednesday, Jan.25, Startup Grind Madrid organized a Fireside chat with Antonio Cantalapiedra at Area 31, IE Business School.
Startup Grind is a community that connects, educate and inspires entrepreneurs worldwide, powered by Google for Entrepreneurs. It organizes monthly conferences with leading or emerging figures in the startup world, local and international. These entrepreneurs tell their stories and the main challenges they found in creating or managing their companies.
Antonio Cantalapiedra is one of its founders and ex-CEO of the popular MyTaxi app, which is based on the idea of establishing a direct connection between drivers and passengers to offer both sides a modern alternative to conventional booking processes.
In this event, he told his story and focused a lot on the challenges he encountered dealing with the local government.
The talk was followed by a moment dedicated to Q&A where the attendees asked for recommendations and curiosities.
The most important part of the event, though, was at the end, where attendees met and exchanged information about themselves and their current situation.
This networking period is essential since Area 31 was filled with entrepreneurs, investors, professors, managers , startup lovers and students.
The event was very successful and a lot of IE students participated. If you are a startup lover and are looking for a community of support and interaction, follow Startup Grind!
