IE Student Film Festival - Telling YOUR Story
Film fans and director-wannabes, get ready! IE Film & TV Industry Club is launching an open call for the brand-new IE Student Film Festival.
Students from all over the world will be invited to submit short films telling a personal story. Those selected will be able to compete and participate in our very own awards ceremony at the end of January! If you’ve always dreamt of assisting to an Oscar-like event, this is your perfect chance.
Winners will be rewarded following 4 distinct categories:
Official Selection: under the theme “My World, My Story” students from all around the world will be solicited to share a personal story, to show the world from another perspective.
One-minute ads: In this category, the contestants will be asked to produce a 1-minute ad for the sponsors of the festival, who will be announced shortly. It is an amazing opportunity to show your work and skills to professionals.
Films in Spanish: IE is an international school above all, but its roots are in Madrid, and that needs to be celebrated. This award will be given to one very special Spanish-speaking film, as a way to encourage local film-makers.
Taking advantage of the international culture at IE, the festival will not only be a way to promote culture in the IE community, but to encourage and reinforce our well-known inclusive spirit through the attendance of contestants from all cultures and backgrounds. However, to make sure everyone in our community can enjoy the material, all films will have English subtitles.
Last but not least, for those who like films but do not produce their own will not be left behind, as IESFF plans to organize a story booth event. Those wishing to participate will be invited to tell their story in front of the camera and to have a taste of how it feels to be a film star. Pay close attention in the next few weeks as the Film and TV Industry Club releases more information around campus…
